Book Your Trip To Beautiful Sidney Spit

Sidney Spit, at the north end of Sidney Island, is five kilometres (by sea) from Sidney on Vancouver Island and is part of Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. The spit is a sandy, narrow strip of land that stretches into the seaβ€”a beautiful spot to sunbathe or walk along thousands of metres of beach. Located on the edge of the Pacific flyway, Sidney Spit’s tidal flats and salt marshes are often overflowing with shorebirds during the bird migrations of spring and fall.

Welcome to the Sallas. This 40 foot semi-displacement cabin cruiser catamaran is a former Canadian Coast Guard vessel now used as a passenger ferry between Sidney, BC and Sidney Spit in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. The Sallas has permanent covered indoor and outdoor seating throughout, providing ample space for a total of 48 passengers. There are plenty of safety rails for those wishing to enjoy the view and extra dry deck space for camping and picnic gear.
